Frequently Asked Questions
How do i select the correct power?
If your distance vision is zero or close to it, use the following guide based off an average 40cm reading distance:
Age 40 - 44 : +1.00
Age 45 - 49 : +1.50
Age 50 - 54 : +2.00
Age 55 + : +2.50
If you are a small framed person and hold your reading material quite close then consider going up one strength. If you are a large framed person and hold your reading material quite far then consider going down a strength.
Bear in mind that computer screen distances vary as compared to reading material distances and you may want to consider two different powered readers.

Can I use The Reader frames for my prescription at my optometrist?
